Social Media as a Material in Teaching and Learning Process

     In speaking of trend, social media is in. It is a websites and applications that enable users to create and share content or to participate in social networking. It is a forms of electronic communication (as Web sites for social networking and microblogging) through which users create online communities to share information, ideas, personal messages, and other content (as videos).

     How do social media useful in teaching and learning process? It encourages students to share work socially. For each class assignment, students were responsible for evaluating each other's work. Because the class was online, social media played an essential role in connecting students and creating an online community. So, they are working wherever they are. It requires students to keep a blog. Keeping a blog is a phenomenal way to work on your voice as a writer, and to truly explore and hone in on your personal interests. However, between essays and homework assignments, many college and high school students see blogging as more of a chore than a positive career move. By requiring students to keep a blog in place of some traditional assignments, you make your job as a teacher easier, and you help them establish their digital presence as an emerging thought leader. It requires original expert sources. For journalists, LinkedIn has proven to be an invaluable tool to reach out to sources, from CEOs to corporate PR representatives. Teachers can foster this skill by encouraging students to reach out to sources directly through LinkedIn. Use Google Hangouts. If you're teaching remotely, or if you're teaching an online class, Google Hangouts can be a great way to check in with students face-to-face.

This is also a good option for adjunct professors who wish to conduct office hours but may not be on campus often enough to meet with all of their students. Create a social classroom on Edmodo. Edmodo helps to create a social, digital classroom. On Edmodo, you can vote, post assignments, create a class assignments calendar, and upload photos and messages to students. Edmodo encourages students to practice their reading and public speaking skills with other students from around the world. A teacher can Hold a class in Second Life. Students created accounts on Second Life to explore themes such as online identity, online community building and in-game economics. There are other ways of how social media can be useful. A teacher can create a class Facebook page. It is for the benefits of the students as well as for him. It can be used for the important announcements, assignments, class activities and deadlines of the projects or outputs. A social media can also serves as a channel to get information from the peers. Each one of them can exchange information. For example, in making a lesson plan. they can ask if what strategy can be used for a lesson to be effective and students will surely acquire knowledge. 

     Students are already using social media away from the classroom. So, integrating it into the classroom helps students learn best practices for social media and offers an interesting new twist on lessons. They could learn on their own way.

My Future Plans in Life

    I'm planning about my future started during my elementary days. I have a lot of plans, just my own plan. It's involve my family's future and my future.

    First and foremost,I want to finish my studies and find job where I could earn money for my family. I want to help to raise my family to live. I have here in my shoulder the task to help for the studies of my little brother because my brother and sisters have their own family already. looking for a job? For me, I want any job just to havbe money to earn to buy anything i want and of course, to help my family

    When everything is in the right place, I want to have my own family also which is compose of a loyal husband and kind children. I want my children to keep close to me for them be open in every problem they have. I will do everything just to have a happy family.

    I want to build a house with my own from my salary. It's design, guess what? It's spongBob! Yes it is. I want every corner of my house SpongeBob is there. (hihi) 

    I want to have also my own car for me to travel easily whereever i go, for every business I'll have.

    In any plan I have, I want there God Almighty for me to guide and work out it.

 

 

What Makes My Day Complete?

             As the sun shine touches my face, that is a sign for me to wake-up. Cold breeze of air embraces the surroundings. Birds are greeting to each other as good morning. Walking few steps out of my room, "Jovit", our dog happily wiggling his tail and kisses me. green surroundings makes me calm. It gives me good vibes every day when i see it at the backyard. I heard some noise. Na... It"s just my family. They"re already awake. i'm blessed to have them in my life.
It's time to meet new friends.
            I'm standing with my not so good shoes 'cause i cannot afford yet to buy the new one. "tiis-tiis danay." While waiting the tricycle for me to ride on,students in our brgy. are waiting too.When they see me they just smile, a means of good morning.
            In riding in a public vehicle,you can meet different people which could affect to your life.
At school, i meet strangers, friends, bestfriends, teachers and etc. Those people complete my day at school.
            As the saying goes,"Everything happens for a reason". I do agree with that. Everything has its own purpose of occurance.thanks be to the One above. He didn't failed to guide me.
            What really makes my day complete?
            Everyday I'm compose of my past, present and future. Talking about the past, it made me  what I am in my present. Happy moments together with my friends, times which enjoying the day as if there's no tomorrow. During bad times wherein one of my bestfriends got a broken heart because of her boyfriend. He had two girlfriends at the same time. In short she has a "two timer" boyfriend.that's the time of bestfriends',s rescue. We're doing any just for our bestfriend to feel relief. Damn her boyfreind! How dare him to break my bestie's heart? Huh! Feeling stress. Looking for other moment, I realized that my friends from high school is different now. Some are still going to school to study. Some got their job already I have my new friends today, not just today but will always be my friends. I felt that they need me to complete their missing piece. In every "kalokohan", I've there to lead. Sometimes, I am kind of kill joy if I'm not in the mood. I forgot to tell you, during my high school days i was totally a kind of "KJ". I do not know why. (insert laugh here)
          I ask myself, "What would be my future without them? Will they be in memories too? Is still they want me in in their lives?"
         When my freinds and I will graduate in college and got a job they've interest with, it'll be awesome! If I'll got a job, I can help mother to raise our family.
         In short, my dreams,my freinds, my memories and my future, my family and God above completes my day.

My Life as a Student...

Being a student, I need to wake up early to fix my things and to prepare a breakfast with my little brother. Before 7 in the morning, things should be in place for me to be ready to go. That's my routine every weekdays. 
Another day, another challenge to pass on. Every day serves as a challenge for a student.  For me, it is a challenge because i need to pass all my subjects. I need education for my future, to help my family to live. 
There's a lot of problems to be solved, sacrifices to be lent, and blood and sweat to be put on to do things which are needed for school requirements to graduate in an institution.
Ok, these are your requirements for this semester... Deadline will not later than the scheduled examination... That lines made the students busy. Every minute, every hour, minds are working for that matter. When the deadline is approaching, students almost cram just to finish the work on time.
As a student, there's a lot of requirements to be filled, projects to be passed on time because there' no more line after the deadline. When the teacher sets the deadline, immediately pop-up into my mind that "buhay pamn deadline ah". I will just work on that a week before the deadline or worst, 3 days before the deadline. I'm using my time in an unappropriated matter. I've got lesson from it which is "I need to work on my requirements as soon as possible."
During my free time, I just seek things which is for me to do. If I'm in the mood, I will do my requirements little by little. At least, I have started it already. With that, it is easy for me to work at home. So, a little time to spend to it and more time to help my mother in the household chores. Sometimes, I will go to the library, scanning books to be read which could pass to my interest.
I don't take my studies seriously, sometimes, because I want to enjoy the moments which i need to experience. Even though that's my attitude towards my studies, I'm trying to be responsible to comply my requirements. So far, I have no requirement that I miss.
I'm a student. I should balance my time and treasure every moment I have. A big thanks to God 'cause He is with me everyday.

All About Me

              Whistling wind covers the surroundings. The environment was already full of light coming from the golden ball. The girl was born by her mother. Rosita, her mother, named her after her "amo's" name. Her 5th daughter in his husband, Johnny,  exist with a healthy body and cute littls eyes.  That's me, Niña Amable. I have five siblings: two brothers- Rodny & Rexie John and three sisters namely Mary Jane, Ana Mae, and Jane Rose. I am the special, I think, among my siblings.

          I'm with my classmates in Valencia Elementary School during my introductory to my high school. I've gathered a lot of friends there. I'm the trustworthy buddy of all. I got a medal during my graduation day because i'm one of the top ten students of the school year 2008-2009. I have another few steps in high school at Kirayan National High School. To be honest, I felt a little bit boring because I didn't enjoy my days. I was one of the officer of the school organization so, there was a lot of things that needed to be managed. Even though i have that expareince, I  still have my friends with me that is willing to guide and support me. In today's modern world, i'm now in college. I'm in the third level already. lots of projects, requirements to be passed. Study here, study there. That's what I'm doing. I need to study for me to have this job that could to me and to my family to live.
I have this happy life together with my family. Years go by,  my three sisters and the oldest brother had already a family while me, I'm still studying. I'm with my mother and father and my little brother, waiting for me to graduate and to help them in order to live.
           I'm just a simple person, nice to everyone, honest friend, and thoughtful enemy. I am also caring daughter, loving sister, understanding and many more. I let you judge me if you know me. I will just open my mind for your judgments.
           SpongeBob is my favorite cartoon character. yes, you read it right. i'm fund of collecting SpongeBob's items, anything that is useful. Someday, I have this house which everything inside or outside of it was made with SpongeBob's face, together with his friends. Oh, I can't wait to have that house, living with my own family- my loyal husband and naughty babies (like me).
